Good news
Wed Feb 16 2005

I have been discharged from physical therapy. The head therapist treated me today and was very pleased with my progress. He sent me home with some exercises to do, and taught my neighbor ML how to do the neck stretching manipulation. We'll have to figure out a time that's convenient for both of us.

But oh! how I'm going to miss the massage and manipulation, and the ultrasound, and the electrical stimulation. Pure bliss! I've decided to treat myself every three months to a massage with a friend who is a Certified Massage Therapist. When she's done with me I feel like melted butter.

Massage therapy, I recommend it. Even if you don't have mechanical problems, it's such a treat.

So, that's my news for today.

Shalom

i keep meaning to do that. being single means you get very little human contact and getting a massage now and again would be a nice way of going about it

I am glad you have been discharged because it means you are better but I know what you mean about the massage therapy. It is one thing I have always loved. The last time I was at the osteopath for my back I asked him about 'general' visits, for when there is nothing wrong with you but you just need to loosen up, he says he does them all the time, especially to men with very physical jobs who take a lot out of their bodies, or to mums-of-three who lug around and chase after their families all day. I said then that I would make sure I come in for one even if it is $50, it would be money well spent, but have I done it? No...and that was 2 months ago...maybe March!
