Didn't I tell you?

When I was complaining about all the drip and sog during the winter, didn't I tell you I'd be complaining about the heat?

But I didn't expect it THIS early in the year.  Triples in July and August are complaint du jour. but June????  Yes, it's almost July, but dang it! it's still June, and it's not supposed to be this hot!  One Hundred Six Degrees is just too much.  I forbid it!

IT'S HOT!!! 

And to top it all off, the pool is still locked.  Contaminated.  I won't go into details (you really don't want the details), just use your imagination.  But I do wish the manager would get it decontaminated, and hurry up about it.

WHINE!!!

Oh, I missed water aerobics Friday morning.  Friend called me at 8:30 to ask if I was coming to pick her up.  The jangling telephone woke me from a sound sleep.  I don't think I made much sense, but I did get the idea across that I wasn't going to make it.  Went back to bed and woke up again at ll:55.  Got up and showered, but really, I would have been just as happy to spend the rest of the day in bed.  I have days like that from time to time.

I did apologize today for letting her down, and made plans to go Monday.  I really need this, but Friday I was in no condition to drive.  Besides, I think it's illegal to drive on a public street while asleep.

    It's only illegal to drive on public streets while sleeping on days ending in a Y.

    I got ya beat! But only by a single degree. It's supposed to dip clear down to 105 tomorrow! Brrr!

    I haven't looked at a weather report to see if that nasty stuff is coming our way. Having worked in hotels and having had to close down pools I can guess what it going on. What bad timing! I hope they get it cleaned up very soon.

    You don't want to hear that it's been absolutely gorgeous around here - 75 and low humidity . . . but I'm sure we will pay!

    I can't believe how hot it is over there - for today we've gotten a reprieve and even some rain, have had the house open all day. I hope it cools down for you soon!
