As I mentioned in a previous diary, I bought a cell phone. The cheapest program I could find. Only for emergencies. How was I to know that my car was going to empty my bank account?
Is there anyone out there who could tell me uh-uh, not right now. I don't need a financial advisor. I never have enough money to make that worthwhile. What I need is a seer, someone who can tell me I'd better not do that cuz a bigger expense is going to hit me.
I really don't need the cell phone, but at least it got my daughter and my sister off my back.
I'm thinking of send out a chain letter:
"Pragmatist needs help. If you send a dollar back to (address given), or any larger amount should you be feeling especially generous, you won't have any good luck in the next three days. But you also won't have any bad luck. But Pragmatist would really appreciate your charity. And feel free to forward this chain letter to anyone you like. The more people who respond--all I'm asking is a buck apiece--the better my bank balance will look."
Think it would work?
Nah, probably not. But I get these wild-hare ideas from time to time.
Yeah, someone moved the ends. Me.
Ah well, it'll work out. It always does.
Shalom
