The perfect woman
Sun Oct 24 2004

She won't win a Mrs. America contest because she's not tall and slim. She's not Cover Girl gorgeous. But......

She's attractive in a clean, wholesome way.

She's always neatly dressed and groomed. She doesn't wear "fancy," but she's always in good taste, modest, and appropriately dressed for the occasion. She has short, curly hair that is attractively cut. And she goes without cosmetics to obscure her natural beauty.

PW takes care of herself. Sees her dentist twice a year.

As I said, she's not tall and slim, and she could maybe lose 5 pounds. But she has a womanly figure, a shape that a man with good sense would find attractive. A body that would be nice to hold and cuddle, without danger of being stabbed by hip bones. She does yoga, and walks for exercise, and keeps herself healthy.

Her eyes are clear, and her smile is bright. Her mind is sharp, and her thoughts are deep. She's a wonderful, thoughtful, generous friend. A great hostess.

PW is a great cook. She bakes, cans fruit, makes jams, jellies, and apple butter. Her home is neat and clean, attractively decorated, but not ostentatious. It's a warm, welcoming place with books, pictures, needlepoint...oh, and a fireplace.

Even her computer room is neat and orderly.

Besides excellence in domestic skills, she crochets and knits, quilts, draws pictures, writes stories and poems. And her humor is gentle.

She has borne three children who have remained close to her even in adulthood. That tells me that she is a successful mother, and especially since she had to complete raising them as a single mother. She is close to her parents and visits them often, and that tells me that she honors her father and mother.

PW has a husband who adores her. It's obvious in the way he looks at her. And she returns the love. They seem to me a perfectly matched couple.

This is a good woman in the finest sense of the word, and I'm honored to be included in her list of friends.

We should all be so fortunate!

Shalom

A perfect words for a perfect woman. Simple things, but tell a lot. Perfection is everywhere, we just need to open your eyes to see it in ordinary life :-)

I wonder..does perfection necessarily imply without fault? We can certainly look at anything under a microscope and find the flaws, but finding the perspective with which we can see how those flaws compliment the whole...that is how I believe we find perfection.

    You're a wonderfully honest writer.

    Hurrah, Chaya!
Yes, I am back, and delighted to get a message from you. I seem to have the wrong email address for you, unless you have changed it.
'concassée' is correct, naturally since you are a genius :D
How lovely that you have this friend - the ideal or perfect woman - she sounds like she would be very companionable!
At the same time, I feel she must take great comfort in having you as a friend. Now I wonder how she would write about you? I'm certain she could use the same heading.

    Shalom

There is an exception to my not taking the kids things to them at school. If they didn't have it due to my own fault (assignments I was proof reading and forgot to give back to them is the exception). The only other excpetion is if they left something in the car after a morning appointment. All the dental and orthodontist appointments are done first thing in the morning, and there has been a towel left in the car when I rushed them out of the car and into school so I could get to the next appointment with the next patient on time.

Ah, that's lovely, Chaya. Thanks for sharing. PW is a wonderful person, indeed! You are lucky to have a friend like her!

I'd love to be that sort of woman. Only with a tad more adventure and a leeetle more recklessness. I hope to find a competent yoga instructor living in my area so I wouldn't have to spend so much time traveling to yoga and back. I need to do yoga because I have really bad posture. I'm starting to look like a real gorilla.

    Lots of Love,
    E.L.

Hi:-) RYC: at school I used to know the scene when Petruchio talks to Katharina very first time - I just love it so much! (maybe referred to myself a lil at that time...lol...Don't most women feel a bit on a wild cat side and secretly wish to be tamed?)
    ...Thou must be married to no man but me;
For I am he am born to tame you Kate,
And bring you from a wild Kate to a Kate
    Conformable as other household Kates...
Oh, well, household is - where we all end up eventually...
Hey, you played in theater? I'd like to hear about it. I love theater!
