Greatly improved day
Thu Dec 16 2004

Saw my doctor today. Blood pressure back to normal. I guess I continue taking the pills. More Actonel samples, and advised to take 1500 mgs of calcium every day, in 4 doses, and daily multivitamin with plenty of D. He tells me I'm in wonderful shape for my age. Oh, the calcium: he said buy a big bottle of Tums.

Visited with grandson and daughter at their work sites. Tried a pumpkin spice latte at the local coffee shop. Nice drink, but could have used more pumpkin flavor.

Put together the fixin's for cheddar garlic biscuits before I left the house. Then after visiting with GS & Daugh, headed out for D&D's place for the usual Wednesday night gathering. D-Herself planned to make potato soup, and I thought the biscuits would be a complement. And Oh! the soup was good! The biscuits didn't turn out as well as usual, but D-Himself liked them.

They have a kitten that is a riot to watch. He was chasing a laser light until his little sides were heaving, and still chasing. Tried to climb the wall to get the light. He also has an empty Kleenex box he likes to maul and chase around the living room floor. Ah, kittens are just about the most entertaining critters around, except maybe an otter. But who has otters for house pets?

D sent me home with a jar of her quince jelly, a book and some yoga tapes. My doctor said yoga would be good. So after morning prayers, I think I'll do a bit of yoga, and build up my strength so I can begin exercising. And, please! lose some weight?

The weather was glorious. Some clouds, almost but not quite sweater weather. Correction, in the shade it was a mite cool.

All in all, this day was pretty close to a 10.

Shalom

i adore kittens. don't like them much once they're grown up, though.
guess that holds true for all species.

am glad you had such a great day :)
