    Cashews.... did someone mention cashews?

You want to reach culinary nirvana?

Eat a couple of salted cashews followed by a couple of chocolate covered raisins.

Hub Man and I had to stop buying them by the tub at Costco.... but oh one winter a few years ago..... ;-)

    Dearest Chaya,

Thank you for inviting me to play! Here goes:

    5 years ago: (Year 2000)
I was 21. I had just graduated from law school and joined an advertising agency as a copywriter-translater-illustrator. I did radio voiceovers in the evenings for extra cash. I was already an active volunteer with several causes. I moved out of home and rented a room in a house with 4 other girls and 2 dogs. I had a lot of adventures.

5 songs I know all the words to:
    1. Blowin' In the Wind
    2. Keep On Truckin'
    3. Only The Lonely
    4. A Little Bit More
    5. Baby Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me

    5 favourite snacks:
    1. Wheatgrass juice.
    2. Party cheese cubes.
    3. Nacho chips.
    4. Raisins.
    5. Fresh fruit.

5 things I would spend on if I had 100 million dollars:
    1. Trust funds for charitable causes.
    2. Nuclear disarmament.
    3. Habitats for Humanity.
    4. Plug the holes in the ozone layer.
    5. For every smoker who wishes to quit, I'd pay for treatment, therapy and nicotine-replacement products.

5 places I would love to escape to:
    1. Hawaii
    2. New Zealand.
    3. the States.
    4. the Galapagos Islands.
    5. old England.

5 things I would NEVER wear:
    1. Frilly skirts
    2. Off-shoulder tops
    3. Baby tees with cartoon characters
    4. Anything childish and not lawyerly.
    5. Anything overly feminine.

    5 favourite tv shows:
    Don't watch TV.

5 things that give me most joy in life:
    1. Volunteering.
    2. Making new friends.
    3. Being here on DD.
    4. Quality time with family, pets and friends.
    5. Sports, esp. soccer.

    5 Favorite activities:
    1. Helping out at the animal shelter.
    2. Cleaning house.
    3. Working with animals.
    4. Playing soccer.
    5. Reading the newspaper with Chloe sitting on it and not letting me turn the pages.

New Zealand and Hawaii are on my list too! As is the States, i.e. Sacramento! Would love to come visit you one day.

As for your questions on my latest diary entry:
    1. We are planning on moving out from the apartment because the earthquake in March spooked us. We don't want to live in a highrise anymore if we could help it.
    2. Yes, Wear Yellow Week refers to our cancer awareness week, and also as a show of solidarity with cancer patients and survivors.

Take care, dear Chaya. I hope you are having a good week.

    Love,
    E.L.

Oh, so you are pretty and animated too? cool!
RYC: "On the burnt dinner thing, is throwing it out and making a peanut butter sandwich considered throwing it out and starting over?" as .gif to .gif I'll tell you the truth:
The answer is NO - unfortunatelly, the only useful use of peanut butter is blocking your ports(see networking advice from the same entry) :-)

thanks for the comment :). yup, definitely seen a change in things, although technically we're a rock band-style music group and not a choir. a choir would self-destruct without a director, for sure
