Two days in a row
Mon Mar 07 2005

Yep, two days of windows open, clear skies, pleasant temperature, and no asthma or hay fever. YAYYYYY!

Yesterday morning I woke up to fog, but by the time I left to walk to shul the sun had put in an appearance. Looked like a promising day. When I cam back from shul, I opened all the windows and didn't close them until about 10 pm. It isn't official for a couple more weeks, but I do believe that Spring has sprung.

Today I may have wakened too late for the morning fog, but that's OK by me. I went to the yarn store and got the yarn that I had ordered. The freeway was mostly clear, and I made good time. Kept watching the gas gauge, though. Made it to my favorite gas station with gallons to spare, so it took less than $20 to fill the tank.

Trouble sleeping, though. Common side effect of one of the blood pressue meds I take is muscle cramping. And in spite of the Klonopin I take for that problem, the cramps still wake me about two hours after I go to bed. I'm going to try to take a walk around the premises before I go to bed, and see if that helps. I know inactivity doesn't help any, and on a couple nights a week I have about 3 hours of TV watching. So, some kind of exercise is in order.

Banshee has discovered the TV. Don't know how much color he sees, but the action seems to fascinate him. Have to try him with a talk show (I hate those), and see if it's voices or action that attracts him. He's also discovered the joys of the (dry) bathtub. Also he walks the rim of the tub between the shower curtain and the outside curtain. I'm tempted to give him a little noodge and have him join me under the shower.

Nah. He'll probably bite my toes or do some other kind of revenge damage to me.

Well, back to the mail. It does pile up if I don't get to it regularly.

Shalom

So funny when our pets discover TV. My friend Frank had this very pompous purebred Maltese terrier who hated one of the characters in All MY Children.. He would actually attack the TV screen. It was the funniest...
He also knew when the soap was on.. Or when it was time.. He would try to train his master to make sure the TV was on.. and the enemy was about to make her appearance.
    :P
    what a laugh..
Glad you have had such good weather.

Put a little cat-toy ball in the dry tub, he'll have a blast! My cats seem to prefer night-time programming, turning on the set themselves. I have to hide the remote from them. They also seem to enjoy cartoons aimed at very young children.

My cats are endlessly fascinated with bubble baths. I'm just waiting for one to slip in! hehehehe

Well . . . I have to get off this computer and get some things done in the real world, tata for now!

I just read your comment about Sheryl's beads - I think she just does them for fun, not to sell. There are so many talented people here at Dear Diary we should have an online arts and crafts fair!

Hurray for good weather, but I am sorry to hear that you've been having trouble sleeping! I hope you get plenty of sleep and sweet dreams tonight, dear Chaya!

I am glad to hear that Spring has sprung! As for us, it's always summer over here. Except during the Monsoon Season, which we sometimes call Flood Season. I hate floods because venomous snakes sometimes swim out of their waterlogged holes. It's scary!

LOL @ Banshee! Chloe has been a TV fan since her first day with us. She loves watching soccer and basketball and tries to swat the ball on the screen with her little socked paw! It's too cute!

My friend's cat Nini walks the rim of the bathtub and toilet! Soon after she learned how to use the toilet! Maybe that's what Banshee is trying to do! If so, then you won't ever have to buy kitty litter again!

    Love,
    E.L.

Catching up with you...be careful with your asthma. I have had some really scary pts who waited to long. One was intubated the minute I got her to the ER. Asthma is one disease in which you really have to stay "ahead of the 8-ball".
