Harry's barber is off on Thursday, a fact we both forgot. So, he got his hair cut by a "stylist," which doesn't make him too happy, but at least he's not shaggy (what little there is to shag).
The day off and on was cloudy and trying to be sunny. But no more rain.
I saw a "Dear Abby" type of column not long ago from someone who was complaining about Christmas/birthday/anniversary/etc. type of gifts. We have all the ties, cologne, bath powder, trinkets we can use. Gift certificates would be appreciated. A telephone card. All practical things, but not more "stuff" to take up room in an already over-crowded home. So I thought I'd create a fanciful list. Bear with me.
--A trip to Italy (a month, at least, and all accommodations paid for)
--My rent paid for the next year...or
--Build my dream home
--A new Volvo, loaded
--A housekeeper for the rest of my life
--After Italy, maybe a cruise to the Bahamas, but not during hurricane weather
--Even better, a trip around the world, to exotic places
--A winning Lottery ticket, and skip the first seven items above
--And if not a winning Lottery ticket, then a rich, generous(gentleman)friend who wants no more pleasure than to keep me happy.
Dream on.
Shalom
