Hamiko

I think Hamiko wants my business. A subscription to a Plus Account, that is. When I open my diary, there's a notation that I "do not have a Plus Account. To get a Plus Account click here."

Every time I think I have some extra, and I think I'll put it on a Plus Account, the money seems to disappear somewhere else. Maybe the birthday fairy will come through.

Spent the afternoon and evening with Yetzirah and Hub Man. I was doubtful about driving in the storm, and especially if it was raining at night when I returned home. So Yetz had some shopping to do and said she'd come by and pick me up, and Hub Man would bring me home. Wasn't that nice of her to offer his services? But guess what? The night is clear and the moon is shining brightly.

Maybe it'll be dry tomorrow night for the Purim party.

I watched Yetzirah dye wool yarn with Kool Aid, and with Easter egg dye. Simple process, but the resulting color can be iffy. As it was the colors turned out gorgeous. I'm sure she'll be posting the hanks of colored yarn and/or the finished product (more bags).

That lady is one fine cook. If you ever get an invitation to dinner, accept! If you have some other engagement, cancel it.

Having puter problems. It is s-o-o-o s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w, and getting slower. The printer is on "pause," and I tried to figure out how to unpause it, but no help from "Help." Then it was suggested that I uninstall the computer. That didn't work, either. Can't uninstall as long as there's work waiting in the print queue. And no help on how to eliminate the waiting work. I guess I'll have to call in a pro. Well...there goes my Plus Account again!

Sometimes the puter is so slow I can play a whole game of Free Cell while one item is being deleted and the next one is coming up. Aaaarrrggghhh!!!!

Well, that's aggravation enough for one night. I'm gonna go do some more work on the handbag I started.

Shalom

Don't call in the professionals just yet. I'm going to the bay area tomorrow. I have tentative plans for dinner while I'm down there, but if that falls through, I'll just come home via your house and see what I can do. I'll call you and let you know. Don't let that stop you from attending your Purim party. I know where it is, and if I happen to get there before you go home, I'll just pop over there.
    Hugs,
    ~Cali

sounds to me like you may need to defrag and clean up your hard drive
To clear the que of your printer. try right click on mouse and the menu should come up cancel all items on hold command or whatever it states..
I have shut off my machine before when those kinds of things happen and I get froze
    Makes me crazy
Enjoy your celebration.. Will be a grand time

nothing more frustrating than a slow computer... precisely because you can't scream at it and scare it into hurrying the hell up

glad to hear you had a good time with yetzirah :)

have a nice weekend, my friend!

I am so lucky to have won my subscription for a whole year! It is very nice to have a Plus account. I hope the birthday fairy comes through for you too! I know it's going to be a big priority for me to get one again when my subscription runs out.

So glad you had a great time with Yetzirah and Hub Man! She is one very talented lady both with her crafts and with her cooking! I have to dig out that apple butter recipe - that stuff is to die for!

    Happy Spring to you!

    Love,
    Anne

All of the things you described are pretty easy fixes... let me know if cali is able to stop by and help you...if not...maybe I can "talk" you through it.
