My daughter now resides in the lovely state of Washington.  She called this evening and gave me her new address.  She was using a neighbor's phone, and promised to call when she has her own phone.

Her cell phone service apparently doesn't work where she is now.  She'll have to get a service that supplies her part of the state, I guess.  I forget which company she was with, but she planned to keep her 916 number so we could phone without long distance charges.  Seems to me, though, that she would be charged for roaming.  That's what Verizon did to me when I was using my cell back in Illinois.  We'll find out when she gets her cell service reestablished.

I'm muchly relieved to hear from her.  She left Thursday about noon, and called me this evening, Sunday.  She said the trip was uneventful and that she got the house she'd been dickering for.  I'll get more details when she has her own phone installed in her house.

But all is well, and I can start breathing again.

Shalom

I guess things work out as they should. Tell me, is Gryffan still near you, or did he go up north, too? Remember, I'm close enough to help you!
    Love,

Good to hear she got up here safe and sound. We had a similar issue with Hubby, with him going all over the States with his job we wanted a plan that would allow him to call home from anywhere without roaming charges.

Verizon does have a plan that gives him the best coverage across the country. We have only found one place (we just got home from there) where he does not have coverage, and none of the companies currently out there have coverage in that area. We're OK with that though. When we go there we don't want people to be able to get in touch with us!

Poor darling Chaya! I can understand your anxiety. It's a mother's prerogative to worry.

Lovely state of Washington it may be, but now you are oh so far away from your daughter and beloved granddaughter.

    Sending you strength and courage,
    With All My Love,
    E.L.
