Early mornings. Ugh!!
Wed Sep 01 2010

I hate it when my days start any time before 8:00 (oooh, too early) 9:00 (better) 10:00 (OK).

I'm staying overnights with small friend Nicole while her mother is in San Francisco having heart surgery. Mom will be home tomorrow, so I'll sleep in Friday. Maybe Mom will be home tomorrow. She had a hole in her heart repaired, but not by open heart surgery. Surgeon threads that little wire-thingy through the femoral artery up to the heart, and fixes the hole. So, if she doesn't have any problems, she'll be home tomorrow.

Nicole said she had to get up at 5:30 and I said No Way!!! But I did set the alarm for 5:45. Guess what. We had a whole hour of being ready before it was time to take her to school. Tomorrow we're not getting up before 6:30. And That's Final!!

According to the clock on my computer it is now 1:08PM, and I'm ready for dinner and beddy-bye.

Oh, yeah, and I got a phone call from the Optical company that my glasses were in, but they had been ground incorrectly. The glasses were sent back with a Rush attached, but it could still be a week or ten days before I get my new glasses. Just this morning, I was thinking of calling them and asking about the status of my order.  I really need my new lenses!!!

OK, I'm done.

Bless.

Wow. Hope all goes well for the Mama.
Go back to bed after taking your friend to school. I don't do "un-godly" hours very well either.

We're lucky that we have an optomatrist (sp) here that grinds their own lenses while you wait. I wear a contact in my right eye so it's not such a big deal for me but Himself wears glasses and it's a perque for him.

On your young friend getting up so early; I don't really do early mornings myself but if that's her schedule there might be a reason for it that you aren't aware of so I really wouldn't alter it because it might be hard for her to get back into. You can always go back to your own routine when you get home.

RYC: Ray's "clean cut" might be more of a problem than you may think because diabetics don't tend to heal well due to circulation issues. I'd have preferred if he'd gone to the Dr. and had it looked at instead of waiting until he got home to show me the booboo. Could mean the difference between a couple of stitches and losing the end of his finger.

5:30 is when I start to feel guilty for still being up, certainly NOT the hour I am willing to get up! I always think of 5:30 as being the cocktail hour, not the getting up hour! As a decidedly non-morning person, I think only crazy people get up at that unholy hour of the day.

I hope Nicole's mother has the best possible outcome from her surgery. I am very concerned however, because Mercury is retrograde (appears to be moving backward in the sky from Earth,) and when that happens things often need to be done over, decisions have to be reconsidered and thoughts and acts just don't go the way we hope.
