I don't remember the circumstances of our meeting, but I think I met him before I met her. But no matter. They are a good couple to have as friends. They've travelled a lot, lived in Israel for a time, and he has many stories to tell.
I don't drive on the Sabbath, but my rabbi has OK'd riding. Some wouldn't even permit that. But no matter. Since I'll be picked up and then driven home, I very happily accepted their invitation to Sabbath dinner.
The weather here has been glorious! I'm so happy to have the rain gone for awhile. However, the allergens are giving me a bit of trouble. Ah, well, there's always antihistamine.
I tripped over something in the middle of the kitchen floor last night, and I'm hobbling today. No, I'm not going to tell you what I tripped over. It was a stupid thing, and if I had been paying attention, it wouldn't have happened. No major damage.
I baked an apple pie to take to dinner tonight. What we don't eat there, stays there. It's now on my no-no list. I've started Dr. Phil's psychology of eating right and treating my body with respect. And pies, cakes, cookies, chocolate are from now on anathema in my house. I will allow myself to partake at someone else's home---just as long it isn't in MY KITCHEN!!!
Oh, but I'm going to miss the chocolate.
Shalom

At least cut down. and yeah, your body should totally be treated with respect, joy and honor..
I agree. Though I never heard Dr Phil say that!
