Busy day yesterday. Had my eyes examined. Then went down two flights and made an appointment to see my PCP. Just happened to be a cancelation for tomorrow (Wednesday) so I took it. Then went down two more flights to the first floor and visited the vampire's establishment. When I signed in, there had been 156 people before me that day, and it was just a little after 2:00 pm. There were three people ahead of me, and I wasn't there more than ten minutes. Wow! those phlebotomists are fast.
There's valet parking at that medical building which think is great. Sure saves looking for a parking space!! I usually hand the valet a dollar when I get my car back. Saves five bucks an hour parking fee! Anyway, these guys have much longer legs than I do, so I sort of fall into my car. Yesterday, the guy apparently wanted to half lie down while he was driving, so I had to adjust the seat for my legs, then bring the back of the seat up so I could see over the dashboard..
Fast forward to this morning. It was a huge problem getting out of bed and staying out. But I had this prescription for my new lenses that had to be delivered to the optical company. Have to have a new frame, too, as it takes two to three weeks to get the new lenses done, and they need the frame so to make the lenses fit. No way could I get along without my glasses for even two to three days. The new frames are slightly lighter in color than the present ones, and almost exactly the same size.
The sunglasses I bought today will fit either frame. I've been going without sunglasses, and I know that's not good for the eyes. They're pricey, and I probably should continue wearing a hat, but I'm much more comfortable in the outdoors or in the car with the new sunglasses. So I guess they're worth the price.
Oh yeah, and I bought a hard case for the sunglasses or the regular glasses when I'm away from home. I could pack the case I use at home, but do I remember to do that? Hey, I'm the one who's wondering if there's anything more than air in that brain case.
Another lovely day. Mid-80s I think and a gentle breeze. Some high clouds coming in from the coast, but I don't think there'll be any moisture dropping from them.
Megan has some MacGyver discs from the first season. She let me bring back the package on the promise that I would send back all six discs. Each disc has four shows. It's been long enough that that program was on, so they're mostly all like brand new shows. I loved the show when it was first on, so I'm enjoying the rerun!
Gotta run.
Bless
