It's a conspiracy
It's a damned conspiracy.
My body is working against my body.
I took my Sinemet and Neurontin about an hour ago, and I'm still jerking and flailing around. And I am SO sleepy!!
The restless everything is always the worst when all I want to do is go to sleep. The minute I relax, a leg and an arm try to take off in opposite directions. And when it's really bad, the torso gets in the act. And all I want to do is sleeeeeep!
I took a Vicodin a couple minutes ago. That should help the body relax a bit. My former doctor told me that Vicodin was the drug of choice before they knew the cause of RLS. I have RWBS (restless whole body syndrome).
Insult to injury, my back aches. I felt so good, and so energetic today, that I over-extended myself, and I'll probably spend a lot of time in bed tomorrow moaning and groaning my aching bee-ack!
Sometimes it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.
Bless

Awww, that sounds awful. I hate it when that happens.

I am so sorry to read this.. I understand what you feel.. I have RLS, but it is under control most of the time.. My Mom however, has it just horrible.. the whole body thing.. The more nervous she becomes, the worse it is.. The more she thinks about, 'I just want to sleep' the more her leg gets to shaking.. and jerking..
The last time she was in the hospital they did a brain scan looking for some type of seizure activity .. think something did show up and she is now taking something for that.. According to Dad, however, nothing is much improved.. and some nights are worse.. the nights seem to last forever....
I pray and hope for you both to have a day of relaxation without the jerking about.. just relaxing.. Ahhhhhaaaaa

I had the tiniest little taste of RLS the other night. I wanted to sleep and my legs kept taking off like I was jumping hurdles. Ugh. So I got up, had a hot chocolate and watched a bit of telly with my legs tucked up under me! I feel very bad for people who have it all night...
