Rena called Friday and wanted to know if she could come for the weekend.  Apparently G had called her and wanted to know.  I told her OK, but her Mom would have to bring her.

She came with a pretty new outfit to wear to shul. G and his Mom wanted to go, so Rena would have to go, too.  She wore a pair of shoes with 3 inch heels.  Now this is a tall girl, anyway, and she towered over us all.  But when it was time to walk home, she decided the shoes weren't all that comfortable, after all.  She was going to walk home in her nylons.  I said No Way!!  So I had her sit on the seat of my walker, and I pushed her.  Pushed her.  And I'm the one who needs the walker.  Somebody should have had a camera.

Well, after she changed her clothes, that was the last I saw of her Saturday, until she came home to go to bed.  Pretty much the same thing today.  She had breakfast, then disappeared.  I told her I wanted some time the next time she comes.  G can just stay home with his mom for awhile, while I enjoy a little time with my granddaughter.

I'm planning on taking the kids to the ice skating rink sometime during their winter holiday from school.  No weekend.  It would be a mob.  I won't skate, but there's no reason the kids can't have fun on the ice.  I'll be sure to wear a warm coat, and that's for sure.

It's getting really chilly.  I know you people who have real winters would scoff at what I'm complaining about, but dang it! this is California.  I'm yearning for Spring already!

Had some good news from a friend.  The judge threw out the plaintiff's case against her.  This has been going on for several months, and the plaintiff and his attorney have been absolute jerks (to be nice about it).  Getting extension after extension, refusing mediation, doing everything possible to prolong the case.  He can still appeal, but I hope the attorney has a wee bit of conscience and quits wasting his client's money.

Got the VCR for Megan, but she still hasn't got it connected so it'll record when she's away.    I suggested that maybe the VCR isn't compatible with her TV (is that a possibility?).  But she said she'd try Customer Service.  That's kind of inconvenient, too, because maybe she'll want to watch one show and record another, and won't be able to unless she can figure what the problem is.

I took two Klonopin last night.  One usually gets me through the night, but for some reason, my legs just wouldn't settle down.  So, after about an hour of tossing and turning and feeling like bugs running up and down my legs, I finally took another one.  And I had trouble staying awake this morning.  A second pot of tea helped some.  But I'm beginning to droop again.  So I guess I'll say goodnight.  Besides, I've run out of babble.

Shalom

HAhaha that was good forit uncovered a corner in my sandbox. I was a shoe salesman in a future retailing class in school and liked the job ,got top grade reports. The Junior class was have a dance where the girls got to ask the guys to the dance. A few girls came in for shoes to go with new outfits and one like Rena wanted high spike heels and all she had ever worn was saddle shoes,
I fitted her with several pair and watched her walk like a drunk and knew trouble was in the making. She bought a pair and I could not talk her into a shorter heel . Well at the dance there were a few that ended up sitting out for thier feet were killing them. Not this GIRL for she took off the Hi heels and brought them over to me and ask if I would hold them for her as she danced away in her Nylons. She made a hit and a number of the girls did the same. After the dance she came and thanked me and said I was so right for she loved to dance.
