Leisure League
Fri Mar 04 2005

Went to the monthly Leisure League Luncheon. For some reason, I got off on the wrong exit of the freeway, got my directions all turned around, and ended up MILES away from where we were supposed to be. Finally got reoriented and got to the synagogue before all the food was gone.

I had picked up a friend and had taken a different route from what I'm accustomed to, and being directionally deprived, managed to take the wrong freeway.

The entertainment was the Cantor of the synagogue. He said he would present love songs, since he had missed Valentine's Day. His mouth wasn't close enough to the microphone, and I had trouble figuring out the words he was saying and singing, and I wasn't close enough to read his lips. But the melodies were nice. Sounded like German Lieder. He ended with Aloha Oe, a song that always makes me *sigh*!

I took an antihistamine before I left, didn't have a nebulizer treatment, and had no problems with breathing today. I'm back to the Advair for maintenance, and hope that this is the end of the whopping allergy.

And if so, then what's next?

The day was mostly high clouds, but what sun we got was warm. And the sun coming through the windows of the car really heated up the interior. My sweater was excess baggage today.

No nap this afternoon, and I'm beginning to feel sleepy. All in all it was a pleasant day spent with a friend I haven't seen in several weeks. The food was good, and the cantor has a beautiful tenor voice. Oh, yes, and he accompanied himself on the piano.

So, I guess that's my entry for today.

Shalom
