Gloomy day

Even the type is set in a gloomy color.  Weather page said maybe a chance of rain, but not even that to make up for the lowering clouds and sickly sun.

And a mood to match.

I really need to do some laundry, but just can't get up the get-up-and-go necessary to get up and go.  Oh, well, I still have one pair of clean panties in the drawer, so maybe tomorrow....

Oh, a hint of sunshine.  Maybe the gloom will lift and the laundry will get done.

But in the meantime, I think I'll go read some more Isaac Bashevis Singer.  And maybe fall asleep in the middle of a sentence.

    Well, at least if it would RAIN, that would be something. What we have right now is .... nothing exactly eh?

    It's been gloomy here for a few days but I'm one of those strange creatures that thrive in the gloom. Actually, I get kinda weird when the sky is wide open and sunny. A touch of agoraphobia, don't ya know *sigh*.

    Hey, at least you have one pair of clean undies!

    I hate gloomy days. If it's going to rain, let's rain already or I want to see sun. None of this in between stuff for me. One or the other is what I order.
    I also totally get the "get-up-and-go" thing. Doesn't help at all when it's gloomy. Bah!

    Ask your Rabbi if this author is any good.. Moshe Chayim Luzzatto.. the book in question is The Path of the Just..

    (I have a dear friend who has been in end stage liver disease for a while now.. well, he had an internal bleed this weekend.. I took his wife behind the ambulance to the brand new hospital here.. and things don't look good.. I am just sick about it.. and have such a difficult time with Intensive care units anyway.. Oh drat.. I spend the day with him sunday and with his wife.. who also locked herself out of her house.. and we had a time of it .. She finally got in late that night..what a day
    and.. I guess my scan is nothing too serious.. as I've not heard back from my doc...
    oh ... the weatherman here says we are supposed to be getting snow.. It has been really warm for the past 4 days.. Almost 70.. and then freezing at night.. but today it is colder..
    but not too gray.. hope your turkey day is good for you and that your gloom lifts.. Go do your laundry.. it helps to keep busy even when we don't want to.
