The big blow wasn't. We got about a half-inch of rain. No trees blown down. No widespread outages. No flooding. No big wind. Just a winter storm in the Valley.
It turned out to be a nice day today. Windows open. Banshee taking the warm sun in the front window. Missy sacked out on my bed. Sunshine predicted for the week with temperatures in the mid-60s to low-70s. I can live with that in the end of February.
On the ENT front, also much ado. Had an audiology test before seeing the doctor. After all that, he said it was probably a scratch in the entry to the ear canal, but that was a lot of blood for a mere scratch. There is some tenderness there, but a scratch?! He prescribed an ointment that Secure Horizons doesn't have on the formulary, so I'm going to stick with the neosporin. Then when there's no tenderness, I'll try the hearing aids again. My hearing aid consultant suggested neosporin as a usual lubricant when I'm using the aids. I suppose I should give it a try?
I may think of something else later on and update this, but for now--that's my day.
Bless

- From:Dustbunny3 (Legacy)On:Tue Feb 26 2008Glad to hear about the ear being a scratch!! I wear the dang things but switched to digital type and behind ear type with tube. I perfer them over the mold type and they are far better in a noisy area. Enjoy the sun for we still have snow and ICE with more on the way. The birds are really messed up as a flock of Robins came by and boy are they about 3 weeks early.

- From:Dreamerbooks2003 (Legacy)On:Wed Feb 27 2008Well that is good news.. Sounds like maybe the aid itself scratched your ear.. The ear can bleed quite a bit.. I have done that.. and surprised at the amount of bleeding!!
I am glad to hear you dont' have an infection or something that could lead to hearing loss
Hugs
My computer is really off... and I am not up to date.. hopefully will fix this old thing or get a new one next month!!! until then.. the library every so often will have to do. - From:Ksmiley (Legacy)On:Wed Feb 27 2008Glad to hear that you have no other damage or problems with the ear but sorry to hear that you have a scratch that caused all the blood.
