We left the gate 20 minutes late. Late departures seem to be the norm with Southwest Airlines. But I'd rather not fly any other airline.
I expected warmer weather in Tucson, but at least there was sunshine.
The trip was mostly just a trip home. However, I got jittery and asked for some water so I could take a pill. The attendant acknowledged my request but said to wait. So what happened? When it came to drink service I got...water. Nobody even asked what I wanted besides the water-so-I-could-take-a-pill. I would have enjoyed some juice, but at least I got the pill down, and after about 20 minutes the twitches stopped. Oh, and all the drinks were served without ice. First time I've ever seen that. I always figured they used ice so they could fill two cups with one bottle of juice.
Missy is being Missy again. Much like her half-brothers KK and Psycho. I haven't yet disposed of a large cat food container. I left it on the floor where I could pick it up and take it when I took the trash to the dumpster. Somehow the lid came off, and she started to crawl inside the jug. She got her forelegs in, then decided she didn't want to be there after all. Shredded paper is her next favorite toy after her rubber band. For a long while a long ribbon was her favorite toy. She took it with her everywhere in the house. I should buy toys when she's so easily entertained?
This girl has a vivid imagination. I have a toy stuffed tiger. About her size. She has decided this is her nemesis, and she attacks it, chews on the neck, rolls over and over, all the while seriously and industriously scratch-clawing the tiger's belly. Oh, she's fierce!!!
It is cold here at night. We're having freezing temps. OkayOkay, freezing temps at night. So what? The Midwest is freezing the whole 24 hours. But, dang it! when you live in a place where the summers are like broilers, freezing temps are COLD!! I am very happy to be back home and sleeping in my very own bed with the heated mattress.
My daughter has called again while I'm not home. This last time was while I was in Tucson. Her phone is disconnected, so I can't call her back. She has money coming to her from the sale of her house, but the agent has been dilatory. She needs to light a fire under him. And I have various subjects of conversation I want to have with her. Very frustrating.
It was just demonstrated to me why the screen hiding the litter box falls over. Missy sits on top of the litterbox and tries to use the screen to reach the ornament on the string pull of the ceiling light. I'll have to find a way to anchor the screen.
Life is not dull with a Siamese kitten in the house.
Shalom
Oh, yes, and she dumps waste baskets.
