Mpre Gremlins, or Black Hole, maybe?
Fri Oct 24 2003

Something really screwy is going on in this apartment.

A boxed set of cassette tapes is missing now. I haven't played any of the tapes in ... oh... several weeks, probably. But when I was looking for something else, I noticed the boxed set is missing. I keep all my tapes, cassettes and VCRs, in the same place. And that boxed set is missing.

I think I'm going to rearrange every stick of furniture in the house and see if I can find that Black Hole that the Gremlins are hiding in.

That happens to me sometimes. It drives me crazy when things aren't where they're supposed to be. (unfortunately it usually turns out it was me that moved them. Of course I never admit it.)
Hope you find them soon. It's hard to relax thinking you might have gremlins in the walls.

    Dear Chara
I've just caught up on my reading of your DD. I've put myself on notify so I'll be able to keep up to date.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your dear friend.

That is very strange indeed. Does someone else have a key to your place? I would think about getting the locks changed. The broken ashtray and now this. I am sure it is not someone who means you harm, but possibly someone who works there or something? Just going in there because they can? I am so forgetful to start with myself that I would simply chalk it up to a low blood sugar moment, but it doesn't sound like that is what is going on here . . . especially with the ashtray thing. I'd be careful and not worry about seeming paranoid because if there is someone gaining access to your home that is not something to treat lightly. For sure mention it to the apartment manager, maybe there have been others who are having a similar experience and they can pinpoint the culprit (if there is one, and not just gremlins or a prank playing poltergeist).

That is strange! I would be doing the same thing until I found out what the heck is going on.
    Good Luck!

    Hi Chaya :)
I'm glad to hear that you've got new mailbox keys, and without any hassles too, that's great. However, the missing tapes, along with the smashed ashtray and missing keys, leave me feeling some concern about what's going on though. Maybe it's time to get your doorlock changed too, just to be on the safe side if there is someone "playing tricks" here.Take care (((hugs))) and 'bye for now, Kelpie.

Gotta love the post office. Now they only need to stop raising the price of stamps every thirteen minute.s

Glad to see you got your keys. Being locked out of something is a sure way to wreck a morning. (my daughter accidentally locked me out of the house while I was putting out the garbage a few weeks ago. I was very close to panicking before I remembered I could climb in through one of the windows. I got back in ok, the only downside being that I realised how easy it would be for a burglar to get inside the house! It's a good thing we have dogs.)

    Dear Chaya,
I'd be worried if I were you. In fact, I'm very concerned for you. Things should not go missing that way. It's not natural. Do you have someone living close by who will keep you company? I don't want you being alone.
    Take care.
    Love you,
    E.L.

    dear Chaya
Ooops I wrote Chara instead of Chaya above. I was thinking of the way my swedish relatives begin their letters...e.g. Kara Thubten. Well anyway, sorry for that mistake. I hope you are well, with lots of good things happening for you. I'm putting a dreidl in my diary for you today!
Shalom, plus Love and (((hugs))) from Thubten
