I saw a rainbow
Sun Apr 22 2007

It has been raining off and on today.  Nothing really serious in this neighborhood.  Big, black clouds here and there, patches of blue skies, and some white fluffy clouds here and there.

Then when I was coming out of the grocery store about 7:30 this evening I saw the Rainbow.  It was huge.  And brilliant.  The left side and part of the upper bow were visible, then all of a sudden the right side of the bow was glowing brilliantly.  I took pictures with my cell phone, but had to take three different shots, as the view on my phone wouldn't encompass the whole bow.  Oh, it was beautiful.  It wasn't backed up against the mountains, as usual, but seemed to be arched over my neighborhood.

I don't know how to transfer pictures from my cell phone to the computer.  Or if it is possible.  I wish I could share it with you.  It was so beautiful.

And I'm reminded once again of seeing the complete circle of a rainbow.  I was flying back home from Hawaii, and we were high enough over the ocean, that we could see the whole rainbow.  The whole circle.  And I was sitting on the right side of the plane to see that marvel!

I was going today to visit a friend who is in the hospital.  Have been trying to get there for the past several days, but incompetency keeps getting in the way.  And to prove that incompetency really is the problem, I went to Sutter Roseville hospital, a trip of 30-45 minutes.  She wasn't there.  So I came back home, but stopped by Kaiser Morse to see if she was there.  Nope.  She's at Kaiser Roseville.  If I'd gone straight instead of making a left turn, I would have run into Kaiser Roseville.  But I was so sure she was at Sutter.  I'll try it again tomorrow.

Murphy plays a big role in my life.

This changeable weather doesn't help my mobility.  Not only do my joints ache, but I'm stiff all over.  We really need the rain, and I wish we'd have a few more days of it.  But rain one day, clear the next day makes the barometer go up and down, and that's what makes me hurt.  It's a good enough excuse not to run the vacuum, isn't it?

Shalom

I just noticed that I have 27 members on my friends list.  Last I looked there were 26. Who's the newbie?  Well, whoever you are, welcome.

You are special seeing a full circle rainbow. Once as a child walking to school I chased a rainbow and went right through it. Sad thing no Pot of gold but chased them a number of times. Lately MURPHY and I have become very close.

I know Murphy. Good friend of mine.

I saw a full circle rainbow while flying over the southern states. It was in direct answer to my praying. Our plane's shadow was right in the middle of the circle and I knew then that everything would be okay. I have also seen white ones while walking along the beach in the early morning on a foggy day. All of them take my breath away.
    Hugs, Tiggs

We had a great rainbow too the other day. A huge arch. None of our cameras could get it either.

I guess they are one of those things you have to appreciate in the moment.

RYC:The boot mostly intended for my very self. I found that when I voice my thoughts out in writing or typing or just by uttering them, I have more understanding myself. Sometimes you?d feel ?something? stirs your mind, but until you let it out in one or another vocal form, you often can?t see what it is?often when I am writing my thought down, I would come to the different conclusion or find a way to solve the issue just by putting random emotions into order of the speech? It is useful to be able to ?see? what you think. And there is no difference if we do it in our own writings or somebody else?s diary. I often get an inspiration (or a kick, if you wish) from reading another diaries, yours including :-)

Wow.. you have a large following.. 27 . That is great...
Yep.. that link you gave me for Saturn is so real... that is just how the planet moves ... seems to stand still and then goes backwards or forwards.. It is interesting; isn't it??
I have never seen an entire rainbow, but once i saw a triple bow.. we have double rainbows quite often here .. The triple was just too much.. took up so much of the sky.. and the third bow was very faint... but their nonetheless... beautiful, aren't they??
I think you can download your cell phone flicks into your computer with the aid of a certain technological device.(*bluetooth).. but I sure don't know anything about that...
My granddaughter says you just download them.
    :0
okay then how to begin?? Beats me...
Wish you could send a rainbow up here today.. we are also in the up/down rain pattern..Raining today and gray out! It does effect the joints.. I can't vacume either..
    :)
    hugs

Rainbows are one of the true wonders of nature and I'm glad you got to see a great one!

Hope you get to see your friend in the hospital soon. It's frustrating trying to do that and not being able to.

    Hugs & Love

P.S. I have something to send to you and with any luck I'll be able to do so tomorrow.

I'll bet there is a way to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer. BUT, I don't know how. Rainbows are so pretty. I'm sorry your joints are aching. Hope you feel better soon.

    Hi....
I'm assuming it's me. Thank you for the welcome!

It's interesting that you had a rainbow experience because my daughter told me a few days ago that she actually drove under a rainbow. She was coming over our mountain pass and as she started over the top and down into the valley she ran smack dab into the rainbow and when she was right under it she looked up and was able to see the brightness of the bottom ring. She said it was so amazing that she had a hard time taking it all in or paying attention to anything else. My girlfriend had the same kind of experience once and said she could feel the vibration of the colors. I can't tell you how many rainbows I've chased that seemed like they were only yards away but the closer I thought I was getting the farther away the rainbow got. I would love to see a complete rainbow like you!
By the way....my nephew has a camera phone and I wondered if he would be able to send me a picture even though I just have a standard phone. He tried and I received a text message sending me to a particular web page where I could access it. Maybe you could try sending it to your email address and see what happens.

Have a great day! It was nice visiting.....:o]
