This time tomorrow I'll be lying on a gurney, or maybe a bed if all goes well for my comfort, waiting to be prepped for surgery.
In the meantime, I'm continuing my prep responsibilities. Drinking down stuff called GoLytely, that is part of the cleansing process. With all the (sweet) juices I've been drinking, I've wanted something salty. But not this stuff.
Then, starting at 1:00pm, at intervals of two hours, I'll be taking four pills, the size of which even a horse would have trouble swallowing.
All I want to do, however, is go back to sleep!! My eyelids are at half-mast.
I may sound like I'm complaining, and I guess I am, but it's all for the good. When I wake up tomorrow in the ICU, I will no longer have this bag thing attached to my body.
Oh! Forgot to tell you about the sigmoidoscopic exam. I got to see what the doctor was seeing of the rectum and lower colon. After the exam, he said we're good to go, so that's why I'm doing and complaining in the above paragraphs.
So I will continue doing and kvetching. The next entry you get from me will be for the joyous homecoming without The Bag.

Bless
