But I do have another grump. Why do young people have to blast their eardrums (and mine) with their music? I have music playing right now, and were I to go to the living room, I wouldn't be able to hear it in there.
These kids are going to be stone deaf by the time they're 30.
I have new neighbors upstairs, and I finally had to go upstairs and tell them to turn it down. The thump-thump-boom-boom echoes in my apartment and makes me crazy. I don't want to listen to their music any more than I want to inhale someone else's cigarette smoke.
Admittedly, these apartments aren't all that well insulated, but still! Workplaces that have noise of 90 decibels or more provide employees with ear thingies to cut out the noise. And I know that kid upstairs was playing his stereo at least that loud. Oy!
Today was not a good day. It was one of those can't-wake-up days. I tried getting out of bed to go to synagogue this morning. No go. Tried a couple more times, then finally gave in and went back to bed. Woke up at 2pm, and finally managed to stay out of bed, but took a couple naps in my recliner. It's getting on to 10pm now, and I think I ready to go back to bed.
Maybe that's why the upstairs kid's music was so annoying this evening. I'm too tired to be forgiving, or nice, or understanding.
G'nite all.

It's great when you have nice quiet neighbors but one annoying neighbor can do the whole thing in. Same is true for trailers. *sigh* I hope they are respectful. Maybe they did not realize how the sound carries.
At least you did the right thing by not pushing yourself. Hope you feel better soon.
As to the neighbors, I guess you will have to talk to the management if it keeps up. You have the right to some peace and quiet in your own home.
Take Care,
