I'm headed for the poor house

I just spent $42 and change on medications. Including Mucinex. Gonna watch those fat green guys leave my lungs. Yeah!

Cough medicine with codeine. I'll sleep tonight.

Plus some refills of my regular, daily meds.

I'm not allowed to talk. I have laryngitis. And chest congestion. Doctor says it's a virus. That antibiotic I got in Illinois didn't do any good. No kidding. Antibios don't work for viruses. But I can't complain too loudly. The doctor there didn't know me and prescribed on the basis of what he was hearing in my lungs. The laryngitis hadn't developed yet.

At least I have an excuse for not answering the phone.

Gotta start a 12-hour fast in about a half hour. Doctor is ordering a bunch of bloodwork. No, maybe I'll wait another hour. I don't quite see me hauling myself out of bed and getting to the lab by 0900hrs. 1000 is approaching a reasonable hour, barely, so I'll wait a bit before I shut down the cafeteria. Does water count?

Oh, and it's cold here. I finally had to turn on the heater. The apartment was getting just a leeeetle bit too chilly. That northwest wind is biting! I hope it blows out soon.

If you are just headed for the poor house, you won't see me yet.. I'm already there. Some antibiotics are over a doller each.. way over!!

I am sorry you feel yukky.. I have had the same symptoms, but won't see a doctor.. at least not yet.. Been drinking lemon with raw honey and ginger, (raw and organic) it is almost a paste.. but you add water to thin and sip through the day.. it helps.. also Osha Root is magical if it is in your lungs... so.. you can burn that and just smell.. or brew as a tea.. Should have directions where you purchase...
Hope you feel fit again very soon.
Just to make you feel better, I will tell ya, We have had snow for the past 2 days.. Not enough to stick to everything, but enough to make a mess of the roads and temps below freezing.. Bbrrrrr..
