The Black Hole is at it again
Wed Jan 07 2009

I had three pieces of mail to stamp and take out to the mailbox for the carrier to pick up. Two pieces got out to the mailbox. It's five hours later and I still have not found the third piece. Fortunately, the envelope with my car payment in it was not the one that the BH got. I would swear on a stack of Bibles that those three pieces of mail never got separated. I checked carefully, and there was nothing stuck to something else.  I hope the third one shows up soon because it contains a mail order for a couple things I've been looking for for some time.

I got my hair styled today. I wanted it to grow out a bit (winter length; keep my neck warm, y'know),  Being in and out of the hospital, it did have a chance to grow, but it got kind of wild. It's a big improvement.

Since Trader Joe's is on the way home, I decided to stop and stock up on bananas.  EEEEEKKK!!! No bananas. One of the personnel said the truck hadn't come that morning. Oh well.  All the H&D pears are gone, no bananas, so I guess it's the remaining apple that will be my morning fruit. Don't know if I'm up to shopping again tomorrow.

Also stopped at the post office for stamps.  Line was out the door.  When I first got there, there were three clerks handling customers.  One was involved in what looked like a complicated piece of paperwork.  All of a sudden she was the only one on duty. The other two disappeared. I waited in line for maybe a total of ten minutes, and when the other two continued their disappearing act, I decided I was too tired to wait any longer.  Probably, as soon as I cleared the parking lot, the other two returned to duty. That's the way things work around me.

I think I overdid it a bit today. I'm really-really tired tonight, and  hurting a bit. Dear friend Lynn did a load of whites for me. My jammies that had been stained by a failed colostomy bag came back unstained. Some underwear, similarly stained, came back unstained or very lightly stained. And all I had to do was put it all away. My Joan is getting along a lot better, and her doctor advised that surgery to her knee was unlikely at this point.

I see the surgeon tomorrow. I will question him closely and get a firm date on how long I have to keep this infernal colostomy bag.

It's about time for Bones, so I'll bid you adieu for today.

Bless

The dreaded BH. I swear that is where the mates to all the single socks in my drawer go. *sigh*
Wishing you happy news from the doctor.
God Bless friends who pitch in when needed!

I'm glad you're up and about.
I pray you won't have the colostomy bag anymore. It sounds like cr*p, literally and otherwise.
    Enjoy the TV show.
