It has been a lovely pre-storm day. Warm enough for a long sleeved shirt. A mellow mid-winter day. But the wind is freshening, the trees are bowing down, and the clouds are coming in. Snow is predicted for tomorrow, and I'll be hunkering down in long-johns and heavy sweaters. Oh, yeah, and turn up the thermostat. I have a class tomorrow night, and hope the snow goes away by then. It has been more years than I care to admit since I walked in snow, and I have never driven in snow. And don't care to make it a first. Well, we'll see how it goes.
Sent off a UPS package to daughter and granddaughter yesterday. Send off another one to a friend today. I'm getting to be a regular at the UPS store. And they pack, so I don't have to look for a box and stuffing. Besides, the young men in there are cute. Down, grandma!
Note to friend: the sales slip is included only if you need to make an exchange. Otherwise, toss it and forget you ever saw it.
My girls are back in school now and overflowing with stories of their time with Dad. They went to Water World (read with wide eyes and grins). And they swam. (The apartment pool is heated). And school is so-so.
Now it's chat time with Lil Sis.
Shalom

- From:Dustbunny3 (Legacy)On:Wed Jan 10 2007Evil Snow in a place that 70% of drivers have not ever drove in!!! Stay home for Safe is better than junk yard derby. Believe me for I have seen effects of it and not near as busy as SAC.I love to walk in the snow when it is quite for the slience is so relaxing , I drew a line on snow shoes many years ago after breaking a track on our Snow cat and doing the snow shoe truge 7 miles in dark on 7' powder snow. Man it took me days for hips to become normal .
