I saw on the news tonight that a charity collecting toys and clothes for children has been burglarized for the FIFTH time in three weeks. Also, there's a young man who collects toys for children of service personnel overseas. He got burglarized, even to the generator that keeps him warm. He has another generator, but it's old and not very reliable.
I'm full of admiration for people who keep on giving and keep on giving to various charitable individuals and organizations that have had all their good work stolen by creatures whose money and goods should be taken away from them and given to the entities they've stolen from. Even that wouldn't be enough. They need to be put to hard labor, and any money they might acquire in the future should be taken from them and given to charity. Let them go without, as these children and families will be going without because of their selfish crimes. There's no punishment severe enough, in my opinion.
What is our society coming to?! This sort of behavior and vandalism of playgrounds and other structures would never have happened where I grew up. I've read so much about this anti-social behavior--and it seems to be escalating--and I wonder WHY?? "Just because we can"? I don't know. But I'm appalled!
