Got an "invitation" to purchase "first and only Presidential Coin Series in United States history!" Included was this little quiz. I didn't do too well.
1. The only President born on the 4th of July. Calvin Coolidge
2. The President who was buried with his head resting on a copy of the Constitution. Andrew Johnson
3. The first President to call his Washington, D.C. residence the "White House." Theodore Roosevelt (prior to his term, it was known as the Executive Mansion or the President's House.)
4. The President who is distantly related to Presidents Pierce, Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, and Ford as well as Winston Churchill. George H.W. Bush
5. The President whose wife started the tradition of playing "Hail to the Chief" whenever a President appeared at a state function. John Tyler
6. The first President to visit all 50 states. Richard Nixon
7. The first President whose voice was heard over the radio. Warren G. Harding
8. The President who grew up speaking a language other than English. Martin Van Buren (he grew up speaking Dutch.)
9. The only President to be married in the White House. Grover Cleveland
10. The President who is credited with saying, "I may be President of the United States but my private life is nobody's damn business." [No, not Bill Clinton ] Chester A. Arthur
And it was Harry Truman who had a sign on his desk that said "The Buck Stops Here" and he meant it.
Oh, and I declined the "invitation."
Shalom

RYC - Thank you for sharing your memories. Your daughter shared some with me, too. You should read them.
Nature is wonderful for creating special memories. Don't you agree?
Enjoy your day!
Huggs, Tiggs - From:Dustbunny3 (Legacy)On:Wed Jun 06 2007I must be a sad case for I didn't do much and will bet my guess were all wrong.
I see a poll on CNN about the debates was only watched by 24% Now that is sad and scary . - From:Mamallama (Legacy)On:Thu Jun 07 2007Interesting. Very interesting.
- From:HaveMayhemComitted (Legacy)On:Thu Jun 07 2007For your comment on mine...LOL!

I like the pres test.
Boy did 'they' give Arthur a bad time!
And GW's ancestors obvioiusly kept their brain and morals! - From:CovertOps (Legacy)On:Fri Jun 08 2007Dear Chaya,
I failed your entire quiz. I do know, however, that John Adams was the first US President to reside in the White House.
I don't mind the fact that I sucked at this, because the average American doesn't know anything about the rest of the world. Most of you don't even know where Malaysia is and know nothing about other languages, cultures or religions. So it's okay that I can't answer all your Presidential trivia!

:P - From:MissTick (Legacy)On:Sat Jun 09 2007"Is this autobiographical?"
Is anything can be hidden from your observant eyes? ;-)
I've got totall ZERO on your test, which is, of course, not a suprise neither a dissapointment. I wonder though if those "first and only" coins would have more value to them then the "normal" ones? - From:Richardsworld (Legacy)On:Sat Jun 16 2007I can imagine the price for a series like that, fun quiz though, Richard
- From:TraumaMama (Legacy)On:Wed Jun 20 2007Brice is at home. He is doing really well. It would appear he is done getting in trouble. He has to complete 32 hours of community service and he is going to do it at the animal shelter. So, we will see, but I have a good feeling. He has to wait until he is 18 for a driver's license. This way he will have his own insurance policy.
I would start an IV in an arm with no lymph nodes if it was critical to get a line. Sometimes you have to weigh risks vs benefits.
