Rowena went home after a week plus with me. Her Dad picked her up on Sunday and they went to a River Cats (Sacramento baseball team) game. I imagine she was thrilled to pieces. She loves the Cats.
I've decided I can't afford to have her more than once a month. She eats me out of house and home. I buy stuff in preparation for her visit, and it's gone in two days!!
Took Harry to his doctor appointments. He has to have a sonagram repeated, but I remembered to ask if there was an imaging center closer to where we live. I'd rather drive two miles than 20 if I can manage it. In fact there is, and I've taken him to a different lab at that location.
Friend who broke her ankle now has toenails the color of her PURPLE cast. I mean P U R P L E! With purple sparkles. I must have checked six different shades of purple before I found one that matched, and it does match. Do you have any idea how many shades of a color there are???
You might think that red is red, but 'tain't so. There's yellowish red, bluish red, pinkish red, and true red. And there's the brightness factor to consider, too. Some colors glow, and others just sit there and be whatever color they happen to be.
Did I mention that I'm thinking of getting a kitten? He's a purebred "snowshoe" Siamese. And he's beautiful. The first time I brought him to visit with Banshee, Banshee didn't want a thing to do with the baby. In fact, he was downright uncivil. Today I brought the kitten for another visit, and *he* was downright uncivil. Banshee was at least ready to get acquainted. That little guy is about five weeks old, and showed the temperament of a colicky tiger today. I'll keep trying. But I have to be sure they'll get along, or at least tolerate each other before I'll bring Toesies home permanently.
Since I'm going to have a houseful of company for a few days the first part of July, I won't bring Toesies home permanently until the place is all quiet and serene again. Can't bring a newcomer, just weaned from Mama, to all that chaos.
I guess I'm going to be able to tolerate the new medicine. I still have some unusual aches, but not as bad as when I started the stuff. I still can't take it on an empty stomach, and probably ought to discuss that with my doctor. In time.
At least the weather has been pleasant for a change. I actually enjoy being outdoors. I have fans going and windows open, and the place is quite comfortable. But in August, I think I'd like to be in San Francisco, maybe?
Have I babbled on long enough yet? Hmmm, there have been some questions in comments to some of my diaries, but right now I can't think what they were, so no answers now. If you're *really* curious about something, then email me. I'm good about responding to emails.
OK, that's it. Goodnight.
Shalom
