A new toilet?
Mon Mar 16 2009

I don't know what's going on, but I'm getting a new lo-flo toilet. Maybe it has something to do with the drought and talk about water rationing. Anyway, it'll be nice to open the lid and see a sparkling white bowl. I promise I'll take very good care of it.

The owner, the new manager!!!, the head maintenance guy, and a woman from a County office just came by. The woman wanted to see my toilet. I've been thinking of buying  one and asking the maintenance guy to install it for me. It's absolutely awful. So badly stained that no matter how I scrub it, it still looks nasty.

A new manager. Finally. The one we have now is next to useless. Even the maintenance guy just shakes his head. Says the light's on, but nobody's home. Call her about a problem and she may or may not send in a work order to the office.

A downside, though. The owner saw my messy patio. I'll be looking for a notice to clean up just any day now. I guess I may as well get started on it.

It's been cloudy, but considerably warmer today. Big black clouds, but nary a drop of rain around here. Well, as long as the storm clouds continue to dump snow in the mountains, we'll at least have a decent snowpack.

Bless

Yes. I polished the mud ball with a cloth.

    Good news about the toilet!

Daniel replaced one of ours because he could not deal with the stains that wouldn't come out...

Nothing like a new shiny toilet I always say.
Okay, so I don't always say that.
But it's nice just the same.

I could use a whole new bathroom...but I don't have a manager! We own the place.

    Hope you are doing well.

    Bless you...

So happy about your new low-flo, eco-friendly toilet! That's a good purchase. It will pay for itself within a year, what with the water savings and all.

They expect you to clean your patio without any help?!? Do they want you to risk fracturing your hip or something? They should send some volunteers over to help you clean up!

    Love,
    E.L.

Re Your Questions: Glad you liked my latest diary entry! The car is a Toyota Land Cruiser II with a short wheelbase. It belongs to Soldier Man. He uses it for our volunteer projects in wild and inaccessible areas, and also for wilderness exploration -- all done in the most responsible way possible.

Loops-- they etch where they want the chain links to be on the woodcarving using the blade, and take it from there.

    Hope that answers your questions.
