Oh boy! did I sleep! Had to appease the bladder twice, but I immediately went back to sleep both times. I tried reading a bit before sleep, but I just couldn't concentrate. So I put the book away and let the Sandman have his way.
I finally got up at 10:40.
Last night, I was wondering how much energy I actually had, and posited a hundred-dollar bill lying on the sidewalk. Would I bend over to pick it up? Nope. A thousand-dollar bill? Nope. If I did, I'd fall flat on my face, and someone would step on my hand, and in the course of saying "Excuse me," would see the bill and pick it up. So, why bother?
I do feel refreshed today.
Gryffan brought Deirdre over yesterday. He had to do some computer time, so he gave the babe to me to take care of. My heart gets so warm when she's in my arms. I've been too long without a baby.
To say that Deirdre is a little pig is an understatement. When she's hungry, she's HUNGRY! Mama pumps milk when she's going to be away, but sometimes that isn't enough, so a bottle of Similac is offered. Yum-yum. She doesn't seem to care what the source of nourishment is. All she wants is IT, whatever it is. And does she ever burp!
Gryffan tried to work my scanner, but the pictures came out too dark to print. I gave him my digital camera to take pictures of her, so maybe I'll get to post some here. She really is beautiful.
Deirdre is about 6 weeks old now, and trying to turn over already. She holds up her head (did since she was born), is very alert. And demanding. She wants when she wants it, like Now no excuses, no delays. Now. But when she sleeps she zonks.
I have so many blessings.
