Aaarrggghhhhh!
Mon Feb 02 2004

I am a chocoholic. If it's chocolate, I love it. In fact, if it's sweet, I love it!

However.....

Pigging out is no longer an option.

I try to stay away from chocolate because if I buy one candy bar, I buy the biggest one I can find. And eat it all in one sitting. When I see chocolate covered cherries, I can't resist. And ditto. And Almond Roca. Oh my!

However, if I don't severely restrain myself, I end up spending a lot of time in the bathroom. So, I thought maybe after all these years of self-indulgence I had developed a sensitivity to chocolate.

Nope.

It's sugar.

I've been wanting ice cream lately. Yeah, I know, it's the middle of winter. But I wanted ice cream, so I finally hauled myself to the store and bought a half gallon of Breyer's vanilla/orange sherbet swirl "Creamsicle." Did I have a small bowl? No, I took the lid off, and spooned large amounts of ice cream into me -- straight from the box -- while reading an inspirational book. Yes, there's still some left.

So, I'm sitting here at my 'puter and all of a sudden have a huge urge to, well, you know. Go. In a hurry.

So it's the sugar. And combined with the chocolate, I think maybe I'm going to have to find some other oral satisfaction.

Stick of gum, anyone?

Shalom.

Oh, you have to try some of the new Dryer's Sugar Free Ice Cream, and Russell Stover's makes excellent sugar free chocolate! I'm not kidding, it's good stuff! The new sugar substitutes are wonderful, not sacharine-y at all! I was shocked, believe me. However, with the chocolates, you do have to be careful to only eat a few, otherwise you are right back the the trots. But Splenda is a truly splendid sugar substitute. I've gotten quite used to it.

Check the labels, that sounds more like a sensitivity to one of the preservatives. One way to definitely eliminate whether or not it is sugar, get 2 packets of jello. One with sugar, one sugar free (get the same flavor also just to be sure). Make the sugar free packet the first day and see what happens, then the package with sugar the second day.
    Good luck!

Don't, Chaya. You're tempting me to go attack the desserts in the fridge!
I have a sweet tooth too and I know what it's like. We should pig out on cookies and ice cream together!
Oh what a lovely time we'll have with our jumbo waistlines and jiggling arms and thighs! LOL!
    Love,

Oh..... I'LL come and string string for your sweet peas.... morning glories.....jungle vine, anything you want. I even have great nylon twine that lasts several seasons. I use cup hooks to attach the string. It's easy! Just say when, because nows the time to plant sweet peas.. Although anytime in the next 2 months will be fine.

Yes that is my daughter the Sweet Pea!!
I have limbed out and skidded enough trees for firewood that should make 2 cords of firewood.
Still have another section to drop and skid out for another couple pickup loads. Mother nature sure did a prunning job with the 38" of snow.
I is tired and crave a thick Vanalia malt shake
like I made working at a fountain counter . YUMmmm
