Thank you Thank you Thank you.

We're in the 90s now.  High 90s, but at least not triples.  And it looks good for the rest of the week.  I was out about 9pm this evening, and the Delta Breeze was quite pleasant.  I rushed home and opened all the windows.

But the pool is still closed.  Seems there are some safety repairs to be made to the fence around the pool.  Wonder if we could get a small rent decrease while the pool is not available?    Dream on!

Having trouble keeping Schnapsie cool, though.  The little aquarium is in the kitchen, the hottest room in the house.  He's pretty active, even though the water is warmer than it should be.  He ducks the ice cubes and hasn't figured out yet that they're harmless.  There's really no other place to put the aquarium, so I guess I'll have to make sure the ice cube trays are kept full.  I probably should put a few drops of de-chlor in the tank to counter our not so sweet water here.

Tomorrow after I do my water aerobics I have an appointment with my personal trainer.  My-my doesn't that sound ritzy!  OK, he's not mine exclusively.  It's just a service the gym offers.  I don't expect any kudos from the trainer as to how well I've treated myself (except for the sweets), but whatever he says, I think I'll stick with the water aerobics for awhile, and graduate to the more strenuous stuff when I've worked up a little endurance.  Once he sees my cane, I doubt he'll suggest the treadmill.  Ya think?

My son-in-law phoned this evening to wish me happy birthday.  This is the first I've heard from him in three years.  I wonder if Kimberly, my granddaughter, happened to mention that I hadn't heard from Bill or had any response to my last e-mail.  But it was good to hear from him.  He's a really nice guy, and he was so good to Becky.

Do we ever get over missing our children?  They're not supposed to die before we do.  But it happens.

The time is drawing near for Megan's departure.  Don't know how I'm going to handle it when the day actually is upon me.  I think the final goodbye will be after my birthday dinner.  I don't think I could stand to watch her pull away in the moving van.

OK, so I'm feeling a little gloomy tonight.  I'll laugh tomorrow.

Shalom

    (((CHAYA)))

Ohhh Chaya, poor you! I know how it hurts to have to say goodbye. Cry if you must, Chaya, not all tears are bad. Poor baby!

Chaya.... I didn't know that you've lost one of your children... I don't recall reading it. I am so sorry about Becky.

My little card should be arriving soon. I wanted to send you a parcel but the postage charges were close to 3 times the value of the gift. Gasp, gasp, horror horror! Well, if I win the lottery, I'd come over to Sacramento and hand you the gift personally. Makes more sense that way.

Poor Schnapsie! I used to float ice cubes in Murphy's drinking water, too. Though of course, it isn't Schnapsie's drinkies you are floating the ice cubes in. They must look like biog, threatning icebergs to him.

LOL @ you running on your treadmill with your cane! Gee Whiz, when I am 81, I hope I can still sit up, let alone do water aerobics!

Happy Birthday in advance, my dear friend.

    Love,
    E.L.
