Wouldn't you know
Wed Jun 08 2005

I got a ticket for a free carwash yesterday when I was shopping at the kosher store. The carwash was right across the street from the store, and I figured why not.

My car sits out in the open and rarely gets washed. But I figured it's free, and the color of the car was in some doubt. But wouldn't you know....

It rained last night, and it's still raining. Well, drizzling.

OK, big deal about the car, but my daughter hung out her laundry yesterday while it was still light. She's planning on bringing it in when she gets home from work, but I think she'll change her mind unless there's a *radical* change in the weather between now (almost 4pm) and 6 pm when she gets off work.

So. I think I'll stay away from carwashes on days my daughter does laundry.

Shalom

Wouldn't you just know it? That's my kind of luck too. For me, rain IS a free car wash anyway. *smile*

I'm about to clean out the litter box. I have not found my remote yet. I have a very awful feeling you may be right . . . those cats do find their ways of showing their resentment. I don't think they like it I don't come home for lunch anymore, and it is true, the litter box has gone a little longer than usual and has become quite pungent. Little buggers! This is now day three without the remote and the deliria tremons is setting in . . .

    Dear Chaya,

It rains most days in the Tropics, so we've learned to make indoor clothesline areas. It's practical and economical to hang laundry out to dry, plus we don't have a problem with wrinkled clothes.

I wouldn't recommend letting the rain wash your car if you live in an urban area. Most of the rain we get is acid rain and may damage your car's paintwork in the long run.

    Take care, dear Chaya.

    Love,
    E.L.
