Sun Dec 14 2008 - Home Again. Again.
Home Again. Again.

I hope this is the last time I see the inside of a hospital!! I'm done!

It seems that with the type of surgery I had, it's not unusual to get an infection. And I got a good one. The doctor talked with my son, and said might make it through the night. I knew I was sick, but until Andrew told me that, I didn't realize how sick I was.

I guess I had to get sick to get Andrew's attention. He doesn't answer his e-mail. Hardly even checks it. So I had  to phone him and ask if I had to die to hear from him.  And then I really got sick.....

Anyway, Andrew and Sue arrived this afternoon, very shortly after I got home from the hospital.  I had called to let them know that I was home, and they were within a few minutes of my place. Good thing called when I did, or they would have headed for the hospital.

I must say that the staff at Mercy San Juan Hospital are the best.  And the food was excellent. I enjoyed every meal there, except the breakfast potatoes this morning. Very spicy.

But it's good to be home!

Bless

So sorry you had to go through that and glad you are OK.

For over 20 years now I have lived with an immune condition that requires me to be immuno-suppressed so yeah I know just how quickly 'a little sick' can get serious. Its scary stuff.

Good food in hospital? =P now that's funny...

Does your doc know what caused the punctured bowel in the first place??
I hope they have you on Massive antibiotic therapy (cefoxitin with an aminoglycoside or penicillin G and clindamycin with an aminoglycoside), supportive fluids and electrolytes .

I copied that from looking up Peritonitis...

Prayers for you ...

Oh No!!!! Chaya, I didn't know how sick you were, either! I am so sorry! You scared me almost to death! I hope you never have to admitted to the hospital again, ever! Yes, it's good to be home, and I hope you stay there!
Please take good care of yourself and get well soon!
Love,

My goodness! I've been Way too self-absorbed, but I'm so glad you're okay!

Don't do this anymore. It's too scary.

Wish I could meet that little baby!
