Went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 today. Lot of discussion about propaganda, lies, distortion, out of context material, but I didn't see it that way. I know that Michael Moore is not one of the greats in Hollywood, but in my opinion, he did a good job of taking incidents from various sources/times/places and making a documentary. Whatever your political leaning, I recommend the movie.

However...be prepared to be horrified at some of the scenes shot in Iraq. That's all I'm going to say about it.

Otherwise, as you may have read in Yetzirah's diary, we visited. Just wish we lived closer together. I would like to spend a whole lot more time with her. She's pleasant to be around, and she makes me think. However, not all our conversations are deep. Sometimes they're just chat. I like that.

I'm having lunch tomorrow with another good friend. We used to get together almost every Thursday for lunch, but lately we've been having conflicts, so it's a pleasure when we can finally get our schedules to agree.

Finally had a chance to talk to a very dear friend who is laid up with a bad back. What happened, she doesn't know, but all of a sudden she couldn't get up from her bed. She spent a couple days in the hospital, and is now back home. She's a teacher and I was concerned that she might not be able to make it back to school in the fall. But I forget...she's her father's daughter, and nothing, absolutely nothing, ever daunted him!

So that's pretty much it for today.

Shalom

I hope your friend is up and about soon.

It's nice that you and Yetzirah are able to talk, and that you have friends to lunch with once in awhile.

I heard today that I am lucky as there are areas close to me that are near being declared a disaster area due to the storms and power outages that could last up to two weeks for some people. That would be tough! Luckily, we did not have much in our freezer to go to waste as many people do who live out in our rural area. Our chicks in the hatcher were casualties, however. They were due to hatch in about a week.

Good to see you post! I'm so happy you are with computer once again.

    Love,
    Anne
