Friend came over to watch her soap opera, leaving her dog out in the yard. Suzie is pretty good about staying in her own neighborhood, but today she decided to go wandering. There's a small business park next door to these apartments, and Suzie decided to get acquainted. When ML checked periodically, Suzie was contentedly surveying her domain, but when the soap was over and ML started home, no Suzie.
When ML went to get dressed for the public appearance, I went checking for the dog in the parking lot next door, then wandered through the business park on the other side. As I was about to the end of the driveway a woman called to me and asked if I was looking for a dog. She had seen Suzie wandering around, brought her into her office and was trying to find out where she belonged from her dogtag.
Well, there was Suzie, just as at-home as if she were at home. The woman said they'd had dogs wandering around the business park, and they'd found their owners and figured Suzie lived nearby. She offered me a leash to take Suzie home, but I told her the dog would walk with me without the leash. Just as we were turning the corner to the walkway to our apartment, ML came around the far corner ready to get in the car and start her search. Oh boy! was she mad. Suzie is in durance vile for the nonce, and will henceforth be tethered to a stake on a long chain during her outdoor time.
Then came time to IM with my sister. We were OK for about an hour when MS kicked me off. Twice. I had to completely log out, then log back into ATT, then into MS. But MS wasn't letting me in. So we tried Yahoo, but Sis wasn't logged into the Yahoo Messenger. By the time she started the process of getting a messenger ID, ATT shut me down.
Now, a few minutes ago when I logged into my mail, found a note from Sis saying that her 'net system doesn't support Java, which apparently is needed to support Yahoo. At least with her provider.
Sheesh!
The shoulder pains off and on, but I think it's getting better. Physical therapy tomorrow. And bedtime now.
