Thanksgiving
Mon Nov 24 2003

This year there will be no family gathering around a table laden with all the goodies of the season.

I will give thanks for the health of my family. But other than that, Thursday will be Thursday. Period.

Shalom

Well, if we were going to be home for Thanksgiving, you would be at OUR house!

We should all be thankful every day not just one day of the year. Thanksgiving baffles me a bit.

Well wishes to you for a peaceful Thursday. *smile* I am thankful for my daughter being home, but I remember Thanksgiving's spent alone and one of my favorites, cooking and serving at a mission. In certain ways, I wish I did have the holiday alone to rest and reflect. I do know how it is though being alone on a holiday. You will be in my thoughts.

Too bad you and my mom couldn't get together, she will be alone too.
    I mailed the disk today.
    Hugs...

Why is Thanksgiving so late where you are? You should have it in October like we do.

What, you're American and you're not celebrating Thanksgiving the 'proper' way? You're not showing joy and triumph over having killed the Natives and stolen their lands? You're not going to kill a big bird that gobbles? You're not going to waste a lot of food and spend a lot of money?
Some American you are! Uncle Sam is disappointed in you!

P/S: That was all tongue in cheek, Chaya. Don't get mad, okay?
    Have a great Thanksgiving!
You are a bright, caring and lovely lady and I thank Providence for making us friends!
    Lots of love,
    E.L.
