Keys
Wed Oct 22 2003

Well, I finally gave up. I called the post office and told the nice lady there of my plight. She's going to send in a work order and have the lock changed on my mailbox and give me some new keys. It may take a few days, but the mail carrier is very nice about handing me my mail if I happen to catch her at the box.

Now you just watch. Those keys will turn up the day after I get my new mailbox key.

Shalom

Oh, yes, the PO isn't altruistic about this. It's going to cost me $15. And I still have to get a new lock for my front door.

    G'day Chaya :)
Glad to hear that you've gotten started on sorting out the mess made by the missing keys. We'll both have a laugh if they do turn up now eh, lol. Well, you have to laugh or....
Take care (((hugs))) and 'bye for now, Kelpie.

Losing one's keys is a terrible nuisance, isn't it? I've not lost mine before (knock on wood) but my brothers have, countless times. It always made us feel insecure, like we expect someone with bad intentions to find the keys and break into our house. Sometimes, for peace of mind, we change the locks.
I'm sorry for the trouble you had to go through. I hope those naughty keys turn up soon. Just to stop you from worrying.
    Love,
    E.L.

I have never completely lost a set of keys before but I've misplaced them. It's enough to drive you mad. I've torn my house apart looking for them...under couch cushions, behind bookshelves...grrr..... I think we should invent some kind of pager for keys like they have for cordless phones. Push a button and it makes them beep....
