So, OK, I am going to sit down here every day and babble away. You can read or not read. But if I can *make* myself do this one thing, maybe I can *make* myself develop some discipline and organization in the rest of my life.
It's worth a try.

So today, it was pretty much "I shood-a stood in bed." I wanted to get some small items for Rena for Chanukah: sort of like stocking stuffers at
Christmas, or little "gifties" at parties. I went to the 99 cent store in my neighborhood, and it was havoc. I couldn't find anything, and the lines were way out to here. So I decided to try the Dollar Store on the other side of my neighborhood, and it was pretty much the same thing. I did try to find the items I was looking for.
Finally I called Megan and told her I'd be out at her place of work tomorrow, because the Dollar Store there is much better organized. I told her what I was looking for. She called me back later and said she had located the three items in particular that I was looking for. She said she had paid for them, and they would be waiting for me in the store when I go to pick them up.
Hmmm. If she paid for them, why didn't she just take them and put them in her car? Have to question her about that.
Anyway, the other items I wouldn't be able to find in a knock-off store, and planned to shop for them while I was out and about. But, what with the late start and all the ineffectual running around, I was running out of time. So I'll have to complete the shopping at a later date.
The only thing I have to show for all the running around I did, is the receipt for paying my Verizon bill.
Some days you're the statue and other days you're the pigeon.
Shalom

Stocking stuffers! I love the idea. I don't celebrate Xmas but I collect new McDonalds premium toys as stocking stuffers for two children's charities I work with. I'm getting stocking stuffers for my family members and loved ones this year. I've already got Chloe's and Murphy's. Now for my humans.
Megan sure has an unusual way of shopping.

oh, and discipline is a good thing too ;-)
My goodness Chaya. You are discipline. The way you live your life, the way you honor your spirit. I just don't see you undisciplined, but I will really enjoy reading you each day, so I am selfishly happy about your decision

Today I am also statue..

(I too have been attempting to be more consistent in my updates.)
Hmmmm curious what the three items were as I am doing my shopping this weekend for my daughter. Give me a hint in a private comment?
One thing I have decided to get is a gift certificate for having her nails done. I already gave her the 'squish' pillow I bought her from Bed, Bath and Beyond. She'd had her eye on one for along time, so I got her one. I had it hidden away, and the last weekend she was here she was going on and on about how she wished she had one. So, I pulled it out and made her the happiest kid on earth. I told her I had to give it to her then so she'd know I'd been thoughtful and not because she'd said how much she wanted one. Anyway, Christmas gets overwhelming and I was glad to give it to her when she could really appreciate it. So, now I am a bit empty handed for the big day! hehehehe I may get her a game.
I have to say I am enjoying the Season. I guess it's because I feel no pressure to please anyone. It's a good feeling to just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds.
Oh, and the back is doing GREAT today - I hope it's a continuing trend! Thank you for your prayers.
Love,
Anne
