I forgot to write yesterday. And I had something to write about.
Saw my new doctor in the morning. The bronchitis is gone. I have a heart murmur, but it's nothing to worry about. Got a new scrip for Vicodin. Doctor reviewed the latest x-rays; lots of arthritis in the pelvis. So I guess pain is going to be with me. He did suggest heat, and I've been sitting on a heating pad. I took 1000 mg of acetaminophen after I got dressed, and was able to walk to shul today.
Spent the afternoon and over $200 with a Nerd. I think he solved my puter problems. He installed a new power pack. He also vacuumed out the CPU. No surprise that there was a lot of dust in it. I didn't have any problems logging in this evening, and so far no blackouts or freezes. Maybe I should go click The Button before the puter changes its mind about behaving.
Walked part way to shul today with a young man who lost his wife in a tragic accident caused by a drunk driver. She was pregnant with a boy, after bearing two girls. Such a senseless, horrible thing to happen to a family. He said that the older girl got a perfect score on word recognition (no surprise there!), but got 93% (I think it was) on the math portion of the test. She works carelessly and makes mistakes that she knows better. She scored 139 on the IQ test. No surprise there, either. The child speaks and thinks way beyond her ten years. She was telling me knock-knock jokes today. So now, the father can get some financial help and advance placement in school for his brilliant daughter. I really enjoy being around that child.
Another woman who was also injured in the accident cited above, is doing very well. She was thrown several feet by the impact of the car, had broken legs and pelvis. She was in the hospital several weeks, then had several weeks of rehabilitation. All this time, her newborn son was being cared for by people other than his mother. He's a darling little boy. Crawls like he's a speed demon, and walks like a drunken sailor. He's so cute!
Well, I've rambled on and on, so I guess I'll click The Button, and play solitaire for a while, until my TV shows come on.
Bless

I was being silly and didn't include him in that, but if we really did live closer of course I wouldn't dream of going without him. :o)
Hope you had a nice weekend.
Hugs, Tiggs - From:Ksmiley (Legacy)On:Mon Feb 18 2008Glad to hear that you had gotten a good report on the bronchitis and I too had a heart murmur years ago but it was cleared up after having my kidney transplant and that time I had something to worry about. Glad to hear it is something for you not to worry about though. God will take care of you!

the subscription to it was a Christmas gift to me from myself, it is truly inspirational and helps to occupy your mind with something worthy each day - From:ImNotLisa (Legacy)On:Tue Feb 19 2008RYN: Rick had kidney failure twice while undergoing chemo and radiation. His kidney function has been in the very low 20% range for the last few years, and apparently dipped into the low teens last year. Which is why the kidney doctor wanted him to start dialysis. Rick didn't want to because he wasn't feeling any symptoms of trouble beyond normal stuff and now feels a bit vindicated because it's a year later and still no dialysis. He doesn't want to start it either, for the very reason of not ever being able to stop. Pushing it off as long as possible. I'm torn of course, I want him to be healthy but agree with the desire to not start a irreversible process. So I wait and watch with him. I know the kidney doctor will make him do tests (which he should do of course) and the results are what I'm nervous about.
I need to check the tank again, but I looked on Friday morning and we were at 40%. Going on three weeks now and we started out this last time at 50%. So I'm relieved on that front! :o)
Oh, and you know me. There will be teeth photos. We have a few planned already. lol - From:Parett (Legacy)On:Tue Feb 19 2008I don't know if you've already tried it, but Aleve(Naproxin Sodium which is the less expensive house brand) works wonders for my arthritis, bursitis, etc. if I take two tablets in the evening. I used to take two at night and two in the AM but now the PM dose seems to be sufficient. My boss takes it and says it works much better than Celebrex.
I hope whatever you take will solve the problem. I'm praying you are pain free.
God Bless...Parett
