Oh, that's what it was. All night long.  I had such a bad case of gas. I can't remember when it was ever so bad.  I burped and belched all night long. The bag kept blowing up, and I don't remember how many times I emptied it of nothing but air.  I think I snoozed about a half hour around 4:00am, and finally really slept, deepely, from 6:00-10:00am. Those four hours were refreshing, but I was still having some noisy gastric emanations that would have been embarrassing in public.

I can't take anything like Tums within two hours of taking the anti-twitch meds. So it's a choice of twitch or balloon. I generally elect to take the anti-twitch meds, because the twitches can become painful jerks of my whole body. But if this happens again, I may elect the Tums.

I had smoked salmon, parslied (parsleyd?) potatoes and carrots in brown sugar and butter for dinner. Plus one slice of challah.  I finished up with a slice of cheesecake.

On Friday I cook for two meals: Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. Or if I go to shul, then the other meal is for Saturday evening.  I didn't go to shul, so I halved the portions for Saturday, and had another slice of cheesecake. No problems today. Maybe it's more like quantity  rather than what I eat. Whatever it is, I don't want another night like last night!!!

I guess it's mini-meals from now on.

There's one slice of cheesecake left. Bet y'all didn't think I could do it.  I didn't either.

Bless

My pharmacist told me that the calcium-based antacids were ok that the warnings were meant for the metallic salt antacids. I was taking the lemon flavored Maalox at the time I was given the all clear.

My great-grandmother always used baking soda in water. Would that work? And what happened to the vented bags?

Oh dear. I am so sorry to read about your tummy uupset and the twitches which kept you awake. I wish I could do something for you to make you feel better.

Ah well. Murphy will continue to come and go as he pleases until you get someone to come in and help you straighten up the house! Wish I could come and help you put things in order.

    Much love.

Yes, I did. I was just now starting to reply. I can't really say too much about the neurology on Mom's side either. When we were having a drought in Marin Co. years ago we were advised to save our bath water and use it to flush the toilet, so my grandmother would pour a bucket of tub water in the toilet and THEN flush. I have to say my Mom's neurons took a little longer to fire than Dad's. :o) I just have to laugh at myself. My kids do!

I would enjoy seeing whatever sketches you can throw together.
