I was wondering how long I've been writing here. My first entry was on 20 Dec 2002.
My, how time flies.
I wrote about WORDS, and they still fascinate me.

The pages are still blank, but there is a miraculous feeling of the words being there, written in invisible ink and clamoring to become visible. ~Vladimir Nabakov
I rather like that quote.

words amaze me, how they turn into books, you open it and then you are transformed into another world until you shut it up again...what a skill we should all cherish...
I am reading a book about bees/Carolina/racial integration - can't remember the name of it but a bestseller anyway, and I am really enjoying it, amazing how words on a page turn into entertainment

We were originally going to adopt from the pound until we went out there and read their new fees. Adoption for a small dog is a little over $300. Adoption for a large dog is a little over $200 (the larger dogs are less $$ as supposedly they are less desireable). If we are going to be spending tat much money, we would rather go with a purebred where we know the background and temperment of the line.
I'm astounded it has gone up so much. Two years ago when we adopted Rocky, the adoption fee plus neutering was under $150. Now they spay or neuter before the dog leaves the pound, and the prices have more than doubled.

Mother nature has a way of mixing up a toss salad for we are just children and best clean up our plate without whining. Ms Daisy and I NEVER agree on what is planted!! But long as there is corn and a mix of tomatos with Zicunni plant Iam happy. There was a time she canned big time but not antmore , however planting seems to stay the same. I hope Flowers will take up that space for if not in the 8, high fenced garden they are deer salad.
If Yetzirah will fence in the yard for sheep to mow the lawn it would be super . Placing a fence post here reguires a backhoe .

We have had no let up in rain. It is so water-logged I can't get the planting done at Mom's, but I enjoy it when I can..
Mud is just too wet..
