Dear Kimberly
Tue Dec 23 2003

This afternoon I decided to try the bubble bath. As I mentioned, I don't usually go for the soak bath, electing for the quicker shower, but well...the bubble seemed to be calling to me.

I followed the directions on the bottle and put in the requisite bubbles while
the water was running. I even lit the candle and got out the bar of soap. I went and got my new National Geographic magazine that I haven't had time to read yet, and took that with me.

By the time I got everything organized, the tub was pretty full. As I stepped into the tub, the water was just a little warmer than I expected, so I ran a bit of cold water, but even so, when I sat down, the water was just a leeeetttle bit warmer than I expected. Oh, well, it colled off.

I lay there in the tub luxuriating in the bubbles, the scent and the candle burning. The tub is a standard tub, not deep enough for me to sink down to my neck and cover my fat belly, but that was OK. Just made me realize just how much I need to lose.

I read part of the Geographic, but decided it was too much effort to hold the pages out of the water, so I put it aside, and just lay there in the warm, bubbly water, enjoyed the scent of the bubbles. It's really great to find something that smells nice that doesn't make me sneeze or stop up. Being allergic to most scents, this is a nice surprise and luxury. I wonder...does the company make a nice cologne to go with the bubbles and body lotion?

I finally decided that the water had cooled off enough and the bubbles had begun disappearing, so maybe it was time to get out of the tub. I washed with the green tea soap, scrubbed my back with the loofa scrubber, then got out, dried myself, and applied the lovely body lotion. Stuck my arm under Rena's nose, and she said "Mmmmm, smells good." Again, it's nice to have something that smells so nice, and I'm not allergic to it.

So, my sweet, thoughtful granddaughter, thank you again for the lovely Chanukah gift. I'm really enjoying it.

Love, Grandma

Ah, how lovely. I love fragrant bath products! I am particularly partial to bath beads and bath gel. Feels like Heaven.
You do have lovely and thoughtful granddaughters, Chaya! You and the girls deserve each other!
Happy Chanukah, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa and everything else to you too!

    My point exactly.
I think everyone should have a nice hot bath at least once a week.
And milk and cookies before their afternoon nap.
It would make the world a better place!

oooh, sounds so divine, I have neglected my regular long, warm soak in the bath lately. Your entry has prompted me to make a date with the tub tonight, with candles, christmas music, a glass of wine and r e l a x!

    Happy Holidays

like you, i don't have abath that comes right up to my neck, perhaps thats why i don't take baths so often - i feel colder because more of my skin is exposed to the air
