Well, new to me.
I rescued a loveseat from the recycle area around the dumpsters. (Management recently installed a recycle dumpster alongside the regular garbage dumpster. Some people confuse the two. But I wander....) I know where it comes from, and I recognize the cat hairs.
Anyway, the loveseat now occupies an honored position in the back room. The back room has become my Sitting Room. When I finally get a round tuit, the living room will be cleaned up and neatened, and when visitors come, I won't be apologizing for the mess.
As far as the mess goes, I'm managing to throw away the paper and its various sections when I get through reading them. The recycle box is right by the loveseat.
The swamp cooler in the living room is Ex.Pen.Sive to use, and it cools only a small area of the living room and two-three feet into the hallway, so I have fans in every room. Except the back room, and that was remedied in the 108o heat yesterday. Well, I think it had cooled down to maybe 105 by the time I was out. Anyway. I bought a 16-inch floor fan, not realizing just how big at 16-incher really is.
I was chatting with Marian and trying to put the fan together at the same time. Then Banshee jumped up onto the box I was trying to use for support, and scattered washers and screws. I found everything except one washer.
So, I put the fan aside until Marian and I stopped chatting, then back into that slightly overheated room, and finished the project. Voila and ooh-la-la! I have comfy room, pleasantly cooled , where I can work crossword puzzles, and generally mess around. The cats have decided they'll join me there.
A new thought. Maybe I can set up my artist easel when I finally get rid of the boxes and boxes of stuff I need to go through, toss, or organize and put away properly.
All is good.
Bless
