Packed my bag, got my reservation...(tune: Sentimental Journey)

Yep.  Got it done today.

Leaving for Vancouver Tuesday night, the 25th, and returning home 2 August.

When I first called (yesterday), I got a real live person.  Today it was the automated if...press 1, if...press 2.  Argh!  So I went to the bus stop in my neighborhood.  Good thing, too, as I found out I can't leave from the neighborhood bus stop, as I was informed by the live person.  Have to go downtown.  And going downtown in the late afternoon is a bugger.  I'll have to do something extra nice for my friendly neighbor who was dragooned into promising she'd provide the transportation.

Another problem:  When I return home, I arrive at 7:30 am, which means if I'm going to get home through the kindness of same neighbor/friend, she'll have to get out and about earlier than she's accustomed to.

Yes, I'd better think about something extra-special.  Or plan on cab fare.

It's a 14-hour bus trip, and one hour and 20 minutes by plane.  But I haven't taken a bus trip since I was in college.  And...in order to accommodate Megan's schedule, I have to travel by night.  I hope I can sleep.  It'll all depend on the twitchy legs.  I can't quite see me doing jumping-jacks in the aisle to quiet the twitches.  It could be a problem.

Megan doesn't have her computer hooked up, and doesn't plan to for awhile, so I'll be incommunicado for that week.  And since I have only 25 Mb of mail space, don't be dismayed if you get some bounced mail.  It isn't that I don't love y'all.  I was just too cheap at the time to add more bytes.

Dang! it's hot here.  Probably hit 105, and forecasted 107 for tomorrow.

Shalom

Adventure??!!! How Cool! wish I'd go with you. I like to travel by bus, though not at night, perhaps, as you can see little...:-(
still, if the journey itself is taken out of it, the rest should be a fantastic trip, I believe. Have a great time and don't forget to return back, even if for reporting about it to DD community ;-) will you take pictures?

Oh what great news.. Give our girl a big hug from me too when you see her .. please!!!!!
Safe and happy trip to you

Oh on the restless leg thing: I suffer also as you know, and took a bus from MASS to CO. 4-almost 5 days.. I found that the bathroom helped for the leg exercise.. also.. the bus stops all over the place to unload packages and things.. At least the one I was on did.. I had asked the driver if I could get off even though at many of these stops you aren't supposed to.. I helped him with packages and walked around a bit. helped me a lot.. and I survived..
If you have any sleeping pills that could also be an option.. but not a good one ~in my opinion.

    Oh I'm excited for yoU

Have a wonderful trip! That's going to be a long one, but well worth it I'm sure.

    105 degrees! Yowser.

Maybe Megan will change her mind about the computer. I hate being away from mine more than a couple of days and was reminded of that recently when my mouse died.

    Be well!

    xxxx,
    ~me
