I had so much to do today. Yesterday was pretty much a flame-out as far as energy was concerned. I didn't really wake up until about 1700 hrs. This has happened before, and I'm wondering if my diurnal habit is changing from morning to evening.
Anyway, since I didn't get much of anything done yesterday, it got to the point of Just Do It! today. Needed cat food; needed to make a run to the post office; but most of all I needed to get rid of a load of newspapers for recycling.
I went to Shalom School to make a contribution to their recycling bin just before Passover. The bin was so full, I could not have gotten another piece of paper in, not even by squeezing! Then I was informed by the gatekeeper that the fence would be closed and locked all during Passover Week. So I'm running around with a car trunkful of newspapers. In the meantime, I've acquired another several bags full of newspapers, as well as a bag full of cardboard and a bag full of shredded paper, enough to fill the back seat of my car. It was necessary to dump all that today. Not tomorrow. Today! Whew! Tossing all that paper into a dumpster taller than my head wore me out. And I still had my other errands to run.
I went to the branch post office near me, and the line was out the door. I think I saw three clerks behind the counter, but I'm not sure. One of the ladies standing in line told me about another branch up the street a ways that is never busy. She gave me the general location, and I wandered around a parking lot until I found a gentleman who could tell me where the post office is located. I will definitely patronize that post office from now on. There were two clerks on duty, and I was the only patron.
Fantastic!! And it's on the same street, separated by a block, from Trader Joe's, so I can get two stones with one bird if I plan my errands right.
Now I have a goodly supply of cat litter (from yesterday's shopping at Costco), plenty of cat food from today's foray to PetCo. I still need to go to the grocery store and buy some kosher items that I managed to forget about when I went to that selfsame store to pick up a prescription at the in-store pharmacy. I've been having trouble keeping more than one thought in my mind at one time.
Last night I went into the bedroom to take my nighty-night pills and got distracted THREE times! The fourth time I went with one thought and one thought only: Pills! OH! I need to go take my nighty-night pills for tonight. Now!! Mission accomplished.
Now, I'm going to click The Button, then check my e-mail, and then do my daily jigsaw puzzle. And go to bed eventually.
Bless
