Her comment: Ma, I'm gonna kill you. Then a big smile and a hug.
I met her at work at the end of her shift and we had lunch. Then I took her to the store that was selling the sheepskin slippers she's been lusting after. She picked out the pair she liked, and when we were talking on the phone this evening she said her toes were toasty warm.
I was introduced to several of her friends who "hang out" at the mall where she works as a security guard. Nice, friendly bunch of lay-abouts as she calls them. They're mostly older, mostly retired people who gather at the coffee shop at the mall and socialize.
Oh, yes, and the weather was beautiful, balmy. Yesterday was chilly and rainy, big buckets of rain. Today was not a December day. It was almost spring-like. (If you haven't read Yetzirah's diary yet, do so.)
So, all together, it was a lovely day, and I'm smiling while thinking of the time spent with my daughter. She's a crusty one sometimes, and I love her dearly.
So, thanks again, for making her and my day. You're wonderful.
Shalom
