Aaaarrrggghhhh!!!
Tue Aug 25 2009

I went to Walgreen's to get my pictures developed. The ones I took of My Baby in Santa Rosa. There are no pictures on the memory card. And no pictures show up on Display on the camera.

Is there a problem with the memory card, or is it the camera? The #1 card has over 250 pictures on it, all taken by the same camera.  What happened with memory card #2??

I'll buy another memory card and take some more pictures when I go back to Santa Rosa next month.

Anybody have any ideas?

Had a very nice treat today.  Joan took me to have a manicure and pedicure. Plus massage and creams--the whole nine yards. I wasn't very relaxed. Oh no! Just about went to sleep. That's all. Joan made me stay awake cuz she wasn't going to carry me out to her car.

I have bright pink toenails now.

I'm definitely going to make at least a pedicure part of my budget from now on.

You might have to format your memory card before it will work. There is a function like that in your set up menu on your camera.

No ideas on the camera malfunction.
Very maddening, to say the least.

What a nice friend you have.
Isn't it fun to be pampered?!!

    I'm sorry about your photos.

Wow, the mani-pedi! Nnniiiiice. I haven't had a real pedicure since way back in cosmetology school. With all the pain, swelling, sandpaper skin and weird toenails I have now, I'd be kind of afraid to get one. However, if you'd like mani-pedis to be part of your regular routine you can save quite a bit by going to a cosmetology school. No, it won't be quite as serene an environment or have high-tech equipment, but they will still do a good job. You might want to take your own polish, though.

Well, it depends, when it asked you to reformat it might have actually done that, or it might just be a bad card. Sometimes they do just go bad for no apparent reason, just like flash drives. :(

Aaaargh indeed! I have no idea what's wrong with your camera or memory card but I am justly disappointed that you won't be able to post the photos of your baby for us to coo over! I am sorry for your troubles. :o(

You deserve the luxury of pedicures and manicures, dear Chaya!

Sorry to hear about your number #2 memory card. I wish I had an answer for you about how your card does not have any pictures on it and your other card #1 does. It could be the memory card has a bad chip in it somewhere. Who knows.

I had that problem with a memory card a while back. Unfortunately, it was too far back for me to remember exactly what I did, but I think I kept putting the card into my computer and taking it back out and putting it back in, until it finally showed the files. Then I moved all the pictures onto my computer. Now the card has an extra file folder on it that holds a couple of corrupt files I can't get to, but it does work.

Hmmm. I'm going to go google the problem, and see what I find.

    I'm back!

    I found this: http://www.recuva.com/download

It recovers your files for you, although you may lose some pictures, but I think that's unavoidable in any event. The reviews I read said it worked really well.

    Love and hugs,
