The shutdown is due to the small detail of letting ACA subsidies expire rsulting in crazy higher premiums and avoidance in swearing in Adelita Grejalva (she was elected over a month ago) into office which would tip the votes towards releasing the Epstein files. So, republicans, who run the house and senate and the Oval Office have chosen to shutdown the govt and use it as an excuse to cut SNAP benefits (first time in US Hiistory). This funding came from taxpayers. This govt has no right to withhold this funding- the point is to be cruel. And before anyone brings in Supreme Count Justice Jackson- (who paused the order for trump to release those funds) know that she did that to push it back to the lower courts who had already ordered him to release the funds. She is a few steps ahead of those trump asshats.

And yet, people are stepping up-setting up food pantries in their front yards, garages, in the street, something these baffoons didn’t count on.

Zohran Mamdani won the mayoral election by getting over one million votes, and mine was one of those. He’s changing the Democratic Party and I’m here for it.
